Meet Dan

Dan Muroff is committed to our community. An experienced leader who gets results, Dan has built a career advocating for our seniors, children, working families, and the environment.

As an attorney and advocate in private practice, Dan has led efforts to aid women transitioning into the workforce, expedite federal funds to build affordable housing for people with disabilities, and secure funding for neighborhood improvements.

Committed to change, Dan served as the president of the board of CeaseFirePA, Pennsylvania’s statewide gun violence prevention organization. In that role, he helped lead efforts to curb gun violence and to stop reckless state and federal legislation that would have put more guns in the hands of criminals. Dan also served as president of Conservation Voters of Pennsylvania, promoting sound and sustainable environmental policy while fighting efforts that would have devastating environmental consequences.

Today, Dan is running to represent Pennsylvania’s 7th Congressional district. As a long time legislative aide and Chief of Staff on Capitol Hill in Washington, he knows how to get things done. In Washington, he advanced a progressive agenda on critically important issues including infrastructure, environment, economic development, and others that directly affect the health and welfare of real people.

Dan is a graduate of Drexel University and IIT-Chicago Kent College of Law. He lives with his wife Melissa in Flourtown.
