Dan knows there is no other way to achieve economic security than through a good-paying, stable job. Unfortunately, too many people throughout Pennsylvania’s 5th Congressional District struggle every day just to make ends meet.

Drug addiction is not a personal moral failing, it is a disease. Dan believes the opioid epidemic should be treated as what it is, the most serious public health emergency of our time.

Dan understands that preserving and protecting our environment doesn’t just result in cleaner air and water, it also keeps all of us healthier and makes our economy stronger.

Dan believes the first priority of our foreign policy must be the safety and security of Americans at home and abroad. 

Dan has been a long time leader in the fight to prevent gun violence. He is a recent past President of the board of CeaseFirePA, Pennsylvania’s statewide gun violence prevention organization. Dan believes in common-sense reforms to prevent gun violence, such as universal criminal background checks.
